Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be 18 years or older to book a session?

While you don't need to be 18 years or older to book a session you will need to bring a parent or guardian with you to your session. They must be present during the entirety of your session and they must sign the model release on your behalf.

Where is your studio located?

Our studio is located in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan. A short walk from multiple subway lines [A/C/E, N/Q/R/W, 1/2/3 & 7].

Are masks required at the studio?
All staff is fully vaccinated and we follow New York City guidelines on indoor mask usage. (Currently masks are not required - 06/22)

Do you shoot outdoor headshots?

Short answer: Yes. We can shoot headshots outdoors if you request it. Keep in mind that outdoor headshot sessions are more time consuming and can be interrupted by the weather or by curious bystanders. All these factors limit our opportunities for great shots. If you're interested in outdoor headshots send us a message and we'll discuss our options.

What should I wear to my headshots session?

During your headshots session you will be able to change looks as many times as the time-frame allows. We recommend bringing multiple options: layers, jackets, colors, collared and collarless shirts. The less wrinkled the better but we do have a clothes steamer on site. What’s most important is that it’s something you feel good in. Some questions to ask yourself: What roles do you want to play? What age do you want to appear? We will guide you during the shoot.

What type of makeup and hairstyle should I wear for my headshot session?

Your headshot should look like yourself. I recommend wearing natural looking makeup and putting your hair together before the shoot. It does not need to be professional hair and makeup. During longer sessions you can change your look by styling your hair and make-up differently. Men should not wear makeup for our style of shooting.

Does the headshot session include professional hair and makeup?

Our headshot sessions do not include professional hair and makeup. If you'd like to book a hair and make-up artist for your shoot we will gladly connect you with one of our vouched artists. We do not cover this additional fee. Please inform us beforehand if you're bringing a hair and make-up artist to the studio so we can make accommodations.

How will I receive my headshots? How can I view my headshots?

After the shoot Adam will narrow down your images to the best for you to review. You will receive a link to your private online gallery within 48 hours of finishing the session. This private gallery will be available for viewing for 1 year. To download your images hover over the top-left corner of the image you want to download. A drop-down menu will appear. Select Download.

Why should I retouch my headshots?

Headshots are a marketing tool for actors and actors should look polished in them. We offer varying degrees of retouching to guarantee that you look like your best self. Basic corrections may include blemish removal and teeth whitening while intricate corrections can be removing wrinkles in clothes or skin and adding volume to the hair.
