Do I need to be 18 years or older to book a session?
No. However, if you’re under 18, a parent or guardian must accompany you for the entire session and sign the model release on your behalf.
Where is your studio located?
We’re based in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan, just a short walk from multiple subway lines (A/C/E, N/Q/R/W, 1/2/3, and 7).
Are masks required at the studio?
All staff are fully vaccinated, and we follow New York City guidelines for indoor mask use. (As of 06/22, masks are not required.)
Do you shoot outdoor headshots?
Yes, upon request. Please note that outdoor sessions take more time and can be affected by weather, lighting changes, or curious bystanders. Because of this, outdoor headshots often result in fewer usable images. If you’re interested, reach out and we’ll discuss the options.
What should I wear to my headshot session?
You’re welcome to change outfits as time allows. We recommend bringing a variety: layers, jackets, different colors, collared and collarless shirts. Wrinkle-free is best, but we do have a steamer on site. Most importantly, wear what makes you feel confident. Ask yourself: What roles do I want to be cast in? What age range do I want to appear? We’ll guide you throughout the shoot.
What kind of makeup and hairstyle should I wear?
Keep it natural and true to yourself. Professional makeup isn’t required — just come prepared. Longer sessions allow time to adjust your look with different hairstyles or makeup changes. For men, we recommend skipping makeup for our style of shooting.
Does the session include professional hair and makeup?
No, our sessions do not include professional hair and makeup. We do not have a dedicated makeup station, so we recommend doing your hair and makeup beforehand. If you’re bringing a hair and makeup artist for touch-ups during the session, please let us know in advance so we can make accommodations.
How will I receive my headshots?
Within 48 hours, Adam will curate your best images and send you a link to your private online gallery. Your gallery will remain active for one year. To download, hover over the top-left corner of an image, open the drop-down menu, and select Download.
Why should I retouch my headshots?
Headshots are your marketing tool — they should look polished while still looking like you. Retouching can range from simple fixes (blemish removal, teeth whitening) to more detailed adjustments (smoothing wrinkles in clothing, adding subtle hair volume). Our goal is always to present your best self, authentically.
